Zero Weights in Weak Efficient and Inefficient Points with AHP

Authors

Abstract:

In this paper an approach in data envelopment analysis dealing with evaluation of non – zero slacks was propounded. This approach intends that weight of inefficient and weak efficient points that have been evaluated as zero weight, be considered as positive weight, and also in this approach, the pareto efficiency evaluates the picture of this point. In this approach positive weights in the inefficient and weak efficient points are appointed based on the decision maker’s opinions and wants, and weights with help of analytical hierarchy process (AHP) are calculated and added to the model under studying, and gain a model with actions of weighted border. Some zero-sum constants with weights

For an abelian group G, the Davenport constant D(G) is defined to be the smallest natural number k such that any sequence of k elements in G has a non-empty subsequence whose sum is zero (the identity element). Motivated by some recent developments around the notion of Davenport constant with weights, we study them in some basic cases. We also define a new combinatorial invariant related to (Z/...

Weak Matching Points with Triangles

In this paper, we study the weak point matching problem for a given set of n points and a class of equilateral triangles. The problem is to find the maximum cardinality matching of the points using equilateral triangles such that each triangle contains exactly two points and each point lies at most in one triangle. Under the non-degeneracy assumption, we present an O(n) time algorithm using the...

An Improvement for Efficiency Interval: Efficient and Inefficient Frontiers

The performances of decision-making units (DMUs) can be evaluated from two different points of view optimistic and pessimistic and accordingly, two different efficiencies can be calculated for each DMU: the best relative efficiency and the worst relative efficiency. In the conventional methods of data envelopment analysis (DEA), only the best relative efficiency is evaluated. It is argued h...

Making inefficient market indices efficient

The concept of efficient portfolios plays an important role in modern financial theory and practice. Although there is an extensive and growing literature that focuses on testing portfolio efficiency, outside of mean-variance optimization, which has several serious shortcomings, no systematic methodology for building efficient portfolios from inefficient indices has been developed. This paper a...

Interval estimations of global weights in AHP by upper approximation

In Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) structured hierarchically as several criteria and alternatives, the priority of an alternative is obtained by using the pairwise comparisons based on decision maker’s intuition. Thus, the given comparisons are uncertain and inconsistent each other. We use the interval approach for obtaining interval evaluations which are suitable for handling uncertain data. ...
